About our school
We are a School for Specific Purpose (SSP). We support students with Medium / High Support needs. Our school provides a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment where every student is recognised and supported to achieve their full potential.
We work with families, carers and support staff to develop a Personalised Learning and Support plan for each student. This means all students can learn in a way that suits them best.
Alongside our curriculum, students take part in programs that build skills in:
- communication autonomy - including the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to support students cannot rely on speech alone to be heard and understood.
- independence - through supporting each student to develop the skills, confidence, and decision-making needed to participate meaningfully in daily life - at school, at home, and in the community.
- life skills - we give students the tools to express their needs, make choices, and take increasing responsibility for their own learning. These skills are essential for lifelong learning, wellbeing, and inclusion, helping each student achieve their personal goals and experience success beyond school.
- social skills - through personalised programs, hands-on learning, and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), students learn essential skills such as problem-solving, social interactions and advocating for their own needs. These experiences foster confidence, promote wellbeing, and prepare students for a successful transition to adult life.
Our classrooms are set up to meet each student’s needs. We make sure students feel safe, respected and ready to learn in a way that suits them. Our staff are caring and are skilled to help students feel confident, connected and proud of who they are.
Our school uses a placement process. Enrolment occurs through a formal referral. Families and schools can contact us if they think our school might be right for their child. To learn more, visit our enrolment enquiries page.
